So consuming haritaki can help the body internally to get your skin clean. It also helps to treat acne problems. Using Haritaki for glowing skin is simple, mix the powder haritaki with little water and make a paste out of it apply the paste on the affected area on your face. Consuming Haritaki internally or external apply both are beneficial for the body.

My own discovery of Haritaki goes back several years. I was at the ashram of Paramahamsa Nithyananda in the small town of Bidadi near Bangalore, India. Nithyananda had just been appointed as the next head of the oldest monastery in South India, in the town of Madurai. He had used Haritaki as a child, growing up in his native village, but had not used it extensively since then.  While in Madurai, Nithyananda found that the monastery had been using Haritaki for over 1500 years as a spiritual practice. It was recognized within the organization as highly important for the continued spiritual growth of the leadership of the monastery. When Nithyananda began using once again Haritaki on a daily basis, and observing others who had been taking it for some time, he saw remarkable results. He observed that his level of oxygen flowing into the brain was increasing, and saw that it reached to the level of three times the normal flow. He had never witnessed this with the use of any other herbal or fruit product. The other effects he observed were a re-wiring of the brain. He observed that neural networks that were connecting negative emotions and memories of negative events were becoming weaker with Haritaki. This is obviously a massive benefit. Typically, psychologists and brain researchers say that we have 90% of negative thoughts running through our brains on any given day. When this mind noise is reduced we become much more able to process thoughts that are creative and proactive. Not only does this positively affect our day to day functioning; ability to do tasks, and our overall happiness, it releases brain capacity to be used for other functions.
The ancient Assyrians knew about it and depicted the Pineal as a mysterious cone in their reliefs. The Egyptians showed it through the Eye of Horus. Freemasons included it their rich symbolism. Antique scrolls of Nepal talk about it. Cathars of Southern France knew about it. And even Buddha has this freaking third-eye-enlightenment-dot on his forehead!
While haritaki is so well known for its affinity for vata, haritaki is acutally tridoshic, meaning that it can help bring balance to all three doshas. We can partly make sense of this by looking at its rasa (taste). Haritaki contains five of the six tastes, all but salty. Thanks to the sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes, haritaki can help pacify excess pitta; with the presence of the astringent, bitter, and pungent tastes, it helps remove excess kapha; and with the sweet and sour tastes, it helps with excess vata.12 Beyond this, we don’t really know what makes haritaki tridoshic with such a knack for removing any excess dosha. This is one of haritaki’s prabhavas, or unique, inexplicable actions (and yes, haritaki has more than one prabhava!). And yet, somehow haritaki gracefully pulls it off.

The pineal gland begins to calcify due to the harmful effects of artificial substances such as flouride chemicals found in public water systems and toothpaste, hormones and additives put into processed foods and sugars and artificial sweeteners dumped into soft drinks. Cell phones are also being pinpointed as being harmful to the pineal gland due to high concentrations of radiation.

Haritaki (Terminalia chebula Retz., Family: Combretaceae) possesses a great therapeutic value and is widely distributed in India, up to an altitude of 1500 m. Though Terminalia chebula Retz is the only botanical source of Haritaki, the uses of its varieties along with their sources, identifying features and therapeutic uses are described in Ayurvedic classics and other medical literature. In the present study, a detailed review has been carried out on different varieties of Haritaki.
An irreplaceable ingredient in Ayurvedic medicinal recipes, Haritaki is listed in the wonderfully researched book, The Way of Ayurveda Herbs and, some of the healing abilities attributed to Haritaki are; reducing the severity of coughs because it contains antitussive properties, ease vomiting and acute diarrhoea, heal skin conditions, soothe a sore throat, parasitic elimination, calm and cure digestive issues, help with the malabsorption of nutrients, tumour suppression, reverse jaundice caused by liver disease and act as a “cardiotonic” to assist those at risk of, or suffering from, heart disease.

4.0 mg of methanol extract, dissolved in ethanol, was loaded onto the Sephadex LH 20 column (GE healthcare) (30×4 cm with i.d. 2 cm) and fractionation was conducted by successive elution of sample with increasing concentration of methanol (0, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100%) in ethanol (100 ml of each solvent). Individual fractions (F1–F7) were dried at 30°C and re-suspended in 1 ml of methanol. Phytochemical analysis of the fractions was done for the presence of terpenoides, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids [46]. The fraction that inhibited the production of violacein pigment in biosensor CVO26 [47] was used for further work.
– Magnets. Attaching a magnet (that sticks by adhesive) to the part of your skin above your 3rd eye (located between your two physical eyes but slightly higher or slightly above the eyes) for a few hours throughout the day will also stimulate the Pineal Gland and help to decalcify it. Magnets cause the body to become alkaline, especially the part of the body where the magnet is attached. Any strength (gauss) magnet will work, but only use magnets on the head area during waking hours. The energy from Ra (Sun) will magnify the strength of the magnet’s effect on the Pineal Gland.
Products as per Ayurvedic Standards : Herbs are powdered in their original form without extracting any oil or any of the active phyto-ingredient  . Herb like turmeric, neem seeds  babchi , yellow shatavari (from Nepal)has oil inside. We grind with the oil instead of extracting the oil because oil has also unique properties. This makes processing lengthy and involve lot of labour. But potency and full spectrum of the herb paysoff its price to user.
Before we discuss Haritaki and enlightenment, we need to understand what enlightenment is. Enlightenment has been described and defined in many different ways. My definition may differ from others, and feel free to add your comments and suggestions at the comments portion at the bottom of the page. Enlightenment for me is the ability to be in joy, bliss, ecstasy seven days a week and 24 hours per day. In this space life is a constant flow. Events happen that can be unexpected, that can be even physically painful but the inner space of joy remains.  Events that would have been emotionally shattering before the space of enlightenment, now become events that touch the heart and increase compassion. For instance, the death of a loved one could have been devastating and debilitating previously, but now the passing of a loved one only sparks feelings of love, deep appreciation and more joy.

Haritaki fruit has been used for thousands of years with great success in India. This wonderful fruit grows in Asia and is common in Ayurvedic Medicine. Haritaki is a great for cleansing our GI tract and building good probiotics and thus improving our immune system. While the physiological function of the pineal gland has been unknown until recent times, mystical traditions and esoteric schools have long known this area in the middle of the brain to be the connecting link between the physical and spiritual worlds. Considered the most powerful and highest source of ethereal energy available to humans, the pineal gland has been seen as a gateway that leads within to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. Awakening the third eye acts as a “stargate.”

My recommendation is that you check out a number of teachers from different traditions and see what resonates with you. One easy way to review the field available to you is to use YouTube. You can find many videos of different teachers, easily and quickly, and find which one resonates with you. If you need additional help, one suggestion is, at bedtime ask for a dream or clarity on which teacher is right for you. Many people report that using this method they have received clear and direct information on who to spend time with and what their next steps are. The way that a number of enlightened masters explain this is, that by exploring and meeting different enlightened masters you are collecting a bouquet of beautiful flowers. Each flower is different and unique. Having collected the bouquet, it is then useful to enjoy and smell the flowers. The next step is to spend time with one flower. Enjoying its benefits. This way you get the benefits of that teacher working on you in their unique way. They know what needs to take place within you, in areas that you are unaware of. If on the other hand, you do not spend time with one teacher but instead you mix and match teachers and techniques, you run the risk of choosing techniques that you like, and avoiding those that you actually need!
Information on the varieies of Haritaki was collected from all ancient literatures of Ayurveda and the lexicons of Medicinal plants (Nighantus), recent literature, journals, and information gathered from the internet. Comprehensive data was prepared after refrerring with the Herbarium of the Regional Research Institute of Himalayan Flora, Tarikhet, ‘Acronym-RKT,’ under the guidance of the taxonomist of the institute.

The binaural beat technology is one of the best things to use for alternative states of consciousness and stimulating your pineal gland. These mind entertainment tracks which are easily available on YouTube, can help you to synchronize your hemispheres and make faster progress with your meditation. My favorite ones are with the 582 Hz “miracle” tone.
Haritaki is a fruit from India that is considered the best supplement for every illness in the Indian system of medicine. Haritaki benefits include that fact that it increases brain function and cleanses the digestive tract. Haritaki is reported to be helpful in awakening the third eye.It works by firstly cleansing the guts as it has antibacterial properties. This increases blood flow throughout the body and especially to the brain.it is recommended that you take haritaki in capsule form to begin with, as the taste is very strong and pungent. The best haritaki to take is organic haritaki plus. Kailash Herbals supplies this from their web site.Haritaki side effects include increased energy, which is generally considered a good thing.Haritaki brain function is increased because of the cleansing of the pineal gland that takes place,	View all posts by Haritaki Side Effects

Organic Haritaki Plus comes in both powder and pill kind, we suggest the pill type as the powder can be fairly bitter for those who are not used to it. The capsules come in a bottle. It is suggested that for optimum benefit you take pills per day at bedtime. The bottle capsules provide you a supply for a month. We recommend that you plan to sign up for automatic reorder for the pills so that you have a regular supply.
Nithyananda reports that most people doing this evaluation, experience a huge difference in their understanding and ability to cognize deeper truths when taking Haritaki. The same applies for the IQ test. Most people report that they see an increase in their IQ scores when they reduce the junk food eating and include this yogic super brain food in their diet.

Haritaki has as a major property, the ability to cleanse the intestinal tract, and the whole gastro-intestinal system. This might sound fairly elementary as a property, however as we examine this in more detail, we see that when this system is clean then a great number of positive results take place. Blood oxygenation increases, which in turn  affects the whole body, with an increase in energy flow (1) and optimal brain function.
A myriad of toxins can lead to calcification of the pineal gland, however, one of the main causes of calcification is the build up of heavy-metal residues in the body. Mercury is a particular offender in the pineal gland calcification process. Results of scientific studies demonstrate that Haritaki can greatly assist de-calcification of the pineal gland by supporting the liver in its consistent efforts to remove mercury from the body. Haritaki is also highly “homeostatic” due to being adaptogenic in nature. Endearing psycho-physical equilibrium, Haritaki is laced with many beneficial properties that aid brain health, sharpen the senses and increase cognitive functioning and emotional health. Humans are in possession of biological energies which meander throughout the body and mind. In Ayurvedic medicine, these biological energies which govern the health of our psychological and physical functioning are referred to as Doshas (a fundamental concept of the Ayurvedic tradition). There are Three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha which contain all five vital elements — Earth, Ether, Air, Water and Fire. Haritaki is said to powerfully unite all three Dosha energies, creating a synergistic ratio of all five vital elements. A balancing of the Dosha energies and elements therein provides access to the specific requirements of a individual persons blueprint of health and wellbeing. Haritaki consumption can assist multi-level homeostasis leading to an advanced internal state conducive to Third Eye Awakening.
